AFE4403EVM: calibration

Our customer are evaluating AFE4403 with the EVM. However they asked us how can they calibrate the device.

Because it can not monitor without a calibration if the person who want monitor the pulse wave has been changed. Is this normal?

If it is not normal, how can they calibrate the device? (It work as they expected if the LED current has changed( Does this mean a calibration?).)

Hi Koji,

Yes, they should have some kind of calibration algorithm that changes some signal parameters ( such as LED current, gain, offset cancellation DAC) automatically based on the user. This is needed as signal from person to person will vary.

Is AFE4900 and AFE4410 same as AFE4403? (I mean it's about the nessesity of calibration.)
