LMT01: question for the temperature cable

Part Number: LMT01

Hi All,

I am using the LMT01LPG chip in a temperature cable, but i have two questions need you help to solve.

1.The temperature cable is 1 meter long , so, should i need to add a small capacitor between the LMT01LPG's two pins?just like 10pf?

2.I will bend these two long pins to 90 degree, like a "L" shape, is that ok?

Kind regards

  • Hi Mathew,

LMT01 is very sensitive to capacitance loading. The more capacitance is hence the output pulse signal is more likely sawtooth instead of perfect squarewave. Most of the wire contains certain capacitance at certain distance. I would suggest to double your cable manufactuer specs datasheet, and you might not need to add the capacitance. You may place a cap on Vp pin, but it is not neccessary.

The form lead is not designed to bend 90 degree angle. I would not recommend to do so.

    Hope this helps.
