TDC7200EVM: Driver for Windows 10

Part Number: TDC7200EVM

Hi team,

we are using TDC7200EVM with Windows 7 without any problem but we would like to install our software on new PC with Windows 10. We are not able to get it running due to the missing driver (driver from Windows 7 is not working there). Do you have any driver for Windows 10 or any tip for workaround? Thank you very much for your help.

    Hello Zhonghui,

    You can find the drivers for the device under the following file path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TDC720xEVM\Firmware.  I am running Windows 10 on my system with the USB driver found there so hopefully that should work for you. What kind of driver issue is your system giving you?

    Hi Lara,

    I have already tried to update driver from C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TDC720xEVM\Firmware subdirectory. This was unfortunately not successful (see my description in my previous message - Computer 2).
    The message from computer 1 is something like: The best driver is already installed - but this is obviously wrong.
    NOTE: The file TCD7200EVM_USB_Driver.inf which was installed by TDC7200EVM setup (which works in Windows 7) has size 4880 bytes and date 27.10.2015 and the same file installed by TDC720xEVM (that I tried on Windows 10) has the same size 4880 bytes but date is 14.10.2015 which is suspicious.
    It looks like that TDC720xEVM setup actually installed the same driver which works in case of Windows7 (At least in my case it does not work on 2 different computers running Windows 10 Pro).
    What is size and time of your driver? Maybe you have another version of the driver?

    Hello Zhonghui,

    The firmware installed on mine seems to be the same one you mentioned, mine also has a date of 14.10.2015 and t the file is the same size 4880 bytes. From the surface it seems like it is the same one but I will attach it so that you may test it on your system.

    TDC7200EVM_USB_Driver.inf

    Besides the error of the best driver being installed already, what kind of other errors are you getting that led you to believe the issue was the driver. Did you receive an error message from the GUI? Can you the MSP on the device manager when it is connected to the PC?
