LMT85: Power supply and Output voltage relationship

Part Number: LMT85

Hi,

Power supply for LMT85 is rated for (+1.8V to +5.5V) and from the Transfer Table of the datasheet i can see the Vout at -50C is 1955mV~1.9V.

Just trying to understand if I operate the device at 1.8V then also the Transfer table values are valid ? as how i can get the 1.9V output voltage with 1.8V supply voltage.

Or the Transfer table values are specified at a known Vdd say~3.3V.

Please confirm  can I use the device without any another voltage reference. My power supply(battery) voltage can vary from 2.7V to 3.6V as I can see there is internal constant current source inside the device.

  • Hi Rahul,

The LMT85 will not be able to report 1.9V with a 1.8V supply. It will try to, but it will run out of range as the output voltage approaches the supply voltage. It will likely run out of range long before it reaches 1.8V/-30C. The accuracy table actually has fairly strict guidelines for this.

    thanks,
