LDC1612EVM: Error in using Excel_FEMM_v1p28.xlsm for sample coil of LDC1612EVM

Hi Team,

Our customer is using LDC1612EVM. According to the customer,

While using Excel_FEMM_v1p28.xlsm for Inductor calculation , I used coil data of the sample coil PCB supplied with LDC1612EVm. I have attached screen shot of the spread sheet. Please see the error message at the end " Q is too low ". Though I have set C value same as on LDC1612EVM Board. Kindly help resolving this issue.

Hi Danilo,

Thank you for posting.

It seems that in Screen Shot 1 the trace width is set to 0.150 mil instead of 0.150 mm. In Screen Shot 2 this has been fixed and Rp and Q are within LDC1612 datasheet specifications.
