AWR2243BOOST: rlDevicePowerOn returns -4

Hi E2E support team,

I'm porting mmwavelink example to a Linux-based host platform. I have direct access to SPI lines and GPIO ports to control HOSTINT, nRESET, etc. and I implement clientCtx callbacks as specified in the DFP porting guide. I set SOP mode 4 (jumper in SOP0).

DFP version is 02.02.02.01

During the call to rlDevicePowerOn I get error -4 which corresponds to

RL_RET_CODE_RADAR_IF_ERROR (-4) /* Radar HW/SW interface error */
Any hint why?

    Hello User,

    Can you confirm a couple of points here : 

    1. Please note that DFP 02_02_02_01 is applicable for AWR2243 ES1.1 devices only. In case you have AWR2243 ES1.0, you need to use DFP 02_02_00_03. 

    2. Please make sure you have the correct jumpers populated to enable boot up in SOP 4 mode i.e (SOP[0:2] = 100). Don't forget to reset the device after SOP mode change (nReset pin is facilitated for that purpose).
