Hi teams

I am seeking a humidity sensor for customer and looking at HDC202X family.

Could you help me to figure it out what's the major difference between HDC2021 and HDC2020?

I noticed that HDC2021 have tape cover but HDC2020 is filter cover, what's the difference?

What purpose to add this filter?

    Dear Gabriel - 

    The HDC2021 and HDC2022 parts differ by the cover offering, as you have noticed. The HDC2021 has a tape cover, and is available for applications in which the board will be washed or conformally coated, and the tape is removed after these operations, before being placed into service. The HDC2022 has a permanent filter installed over it, which is hydrophobic and can block particles down to 100nm, it is available for applications that might have environmental airborne contaminants or have significant water exposure. Both parts are firmware compatible with each other and the HDC2080/HDC2010 parts.
