we have been experimenting with the Long Range People Detection demo for some time now and are fairly happy with the results so far. One problem which still remains is when entering the detection zone from the side it takes a long time for the target to be detected. Depending on the distance the target is often times not detected at all. The detection starts to get bad at around 15 to 20 meters. Our configuration is based on the default 3D 50m configuration file and we have tried changing the gtrack parameters but we could not determine a clear difference in results.
We would be grateful if you could maybe point us in the right direction: Which parameter do we have to change to improve the detection when entering from the side?
