Good Day!
Please note, As advised by you, I have mounted AWR1642BOOST EVM in front of the Car(Image attached).
We have tested AWR1642BOOST for obstacle detection, We inferred that the Obstacle detection performance have increased from 71% to 91%, but we found some random detections while testing the radar on road, random detections occur when the Car travels on road with trees on both the sides and if there is an electric metal wire crossing the road.
I have attached images on the above said scenarios.
Can you please advise me, to avoid such random detections such as trees or electric wires?
We have configured AWR1642BOOST EVM to 20 meters and we only target objects within the width of the Car(Note -- IGNORE / ACT on the command line is based on an algorithm we had devised), but we couldn't remove the noise data coming from trees or electric wires.
Can you please correct my observation, if it's wrong -- Since all the antennas are in the same height, I couldn't control the beams height and hence I get the detections from trees or electric wires
- Would this problem be solved, if I get the AWR1642BOOST-ODS?, As I am afraid such detections of trees or metal wires would cause Phantom Braking?
- Can you please let me know, if there are any measures that can be taken to avoid the detection of trees / bridges / metal wires crossing the road?
