IWR1843BOOST: IWR1843

Part Number: IWR1843BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1843, IWR1443, TIDEP-0091, IWR1443BOOST,

Hi Dear

I am using IWR1843 and MSP432P401R.

I read this file "Fluid-level sensing using 77-GHz millimeter wave" which used IWR1443 sensors and MSP.

https://www.ti.com/lit/wp/spyy004/spyy004.pdf?ts=1626829661678&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com.cn%252Fzh-cn%252Fnew-infrastructure%252Findustrial-internet.html%253FHQS%253Dsys-null-null-cninfra_ii-bs-pp-EEWORLD-cn%2526DCM%253Dyes%2526dclid%253DCIqTxaP88vECFUdBlgodh2IGxA

I connect IWR1843 and MSP432P401R with 20 pin port

now I have some qustons:

1- Can I use IWR1843  instead of IWR1443?

2- Do you have examole code for this application  (Link)?

3- Should I do some change in configuration of radar for work?

Best Regards

Hadi

  • Hi Hadi

There is an existing TI Design for this application which is TIDEP-0091. It uses IWR1443BOOST because IWR1443 consumes much less power than IWR1843, thus IWR1443 is our recommended level sensor especially where power is a matter of concern.

It is possible to use IWR1843BOOST for similar level sensing application, but the same hardware and software modifications will need to be re-done as per TIDEP-0091. Please see the Getting Started Guide in the design Software Files for more details.

    Regards,
