Hi!
I'm working with OPT3101. I have calibrated with OPT3101 SDK v0.9.0 but when the sensor is inclined the measure is wrong.
Is there any restriction with incline anlges?
Thank you!

Hi,
What do you mean by incline here? Can you give some more details on your test?
Best,
Alex
Hello Alex. Thank you for your answer.
With the incline angle I mean a slope. I made my calibration just as the SDK document suggest and the sensor worked very well when the target is perpendicular to the light, I mean, the light from the emitter is perpendicular (90°) to the target. But when I want to change the angle of the whole sensor the measurements are wrong, the OPT3101's phase is between 45k and 50k units. This behavior is wrong but a don't know why we are having these behaviors.
Is it possible to have a direct contact with you to perform a call in order ti explain the issues that we are having.
Have a nice day, greetings.
Hi,
If the amplitude is getting very low due to angle then this could be a possibility.
You will need to check the effectiveness of your xtalk calibration. You can refer to step 4 here for doing this: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors-group/sensors/f/sensors-forum/727462/faq-opt3101evm-troubleshooting
If the amplitude on angled target is getting within an order of magnitude of your xtalk amplitude you could be seeing xtalk error.

You'll also see in our system design doc https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau305b/sbau305b.pdf that the distance reported is the weighted average of the signal received from all targets. Please make sure target size and proximity to target is not getting influenced by this given the field of view of your optics when you angle the target.
