Dear experts

There was a problem while testing IWR6843ISK-ODS + mmWaveICboost / IWR6843ISK-ODS + mmWaveICboost + DCA1000EVM

1. IWR6843ISK-ODS + mmWaveICboost + DCA1000EVM / mmWave Studio

2. IWR6843ISK-ODS + mmWaveICboost (Standalone Mode) / mmWave Studio

3. IWR6843ISK-ODS + mmWaveICboost / mmWave Demo Visualizer (SDK 03_05_00_04 Demo FW)

Flashed C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_05_00_04\packages\ti\demo\xwr68xx\mmw\xwr68xx_mmw_demo.bin

I'm guessing that the RF board is broken, but I'd love to help if there is any other solution.

Hello User,

From your mmWave Studio output log, I can see you have IWR6843 ES1.0 board and you're using mmWave Studio 02_01_01_00.

Firmware embedded in mmWave Studio 02_01_01_00 is for IWR6843 ES2.0 and hence that is where the mismatch is coming from. For your board, you could use the same studio version but firmware from mmWave Studio 02_00_00_02 (linked below).

Similarly, mmWave SDK 03_05_00_04 also supports IWR6843 ES1.0 and NOT IWR6843 ES1.0 (You can check the release notes) and hence the firmware/image inside the package corresponds to ES2.0.

Please use mmWave SDK 03_02_01_02 for your board. (https://www.ti.com/tool/download/MMWAVE-SDK/03.02.01.02)
