TMP117: Design concern of TMP117...

Part Number: TMP117

Dear SIrs,

Some questions about TMP117 design need help.

Thanks.

1. Is there any requirement for input power ripple? Is it necessary to add RC low pass filter in V+?

2. For I2C SDA, SCL, and ALERT pin pull high resistor, may I use 1Kohm to 3.3V?

Thanks.

  • Hi Peter,

We always recommend bypass capacitance on the supply pin of every IC, but it is not necessary to have resistor.

Our SCL pin is not an output, and has no concern for pull-up resistor. You may use 1kohm pull-up to 3.3V on SCL. Our SDA and ALERT pins have IOL spec of 3mA. This means minimum pull-up resistor for SDA and ALERT pin is 3.3V/3mA = 1.1kOhm.

    thanks,
