HDC2021: Sensor Register misbehaviour- Critical

Team,

We are using HDC2021 and we have few observations and we would like to clarify .

Settings
Sensor Supply Voltage : 3.3 V
Frequency 100KHz
With the above are the settings we face 2 issues .

#1. when we read all register settings from the sensor we could read the settings which is written by us and temperature , humidity registers are 0. I have mentioned the data which is read from the sensor

Register values - 00,00,00,00,00,00,00,60,00,00,45,69,00,ff,54,00#

#2. Sometimes the adc values of temperature and Humidity from sensor is 0 and FFFF .Please help with this as we are facing these kind of issues frequently

Hi Sowmiya,

Could you please send me the I2C startup sequence and the schematic? Scope capture or a logic capture would be helpful to check for any abnormalities.

Hi Pavani,

Here is the settings of register and I have attached scope capture of SCLK signal
Configuration register (0x0E) - value - 0x54
Measurement register (0x0F) - value - 0x01
Interrupt Enable( 0x07) - value - 0x60
Temp High limit( 0x0B) - value - 0x70
Temp low limit( 0x0A) - value - 0x45

Hi Sowmiya,

Are you observing the register behavior when you are trying to obtain a measurement? If so, you might need to add some wait time for the measurement to be completed. You can confirm this by checking the DRDY bit status in register 0x04. If the bit is set to 1, the data is ready. If not, the temperature and humidity data registers would read 0xFF.
