Hello everyone!
I'm an engineer in a small company that use OPT9221+OPT8241 on our custom board with FPGA as 3D vision for our Human Radar.
We have a very big problem that we could not resolve for more than 3 months. Here is the problem.
Some vertical artifact appears on the depth picture after turning on the device. Here are the screenshots from our program with both sensors.
Conditions:
When devices turns on, everything is good and clear. In some time, it can be 2 hours or 2 days, one devices starts to send such a corrupt depth images.
These vertical lines are pretty stable but have some jitter by horisontal.
Near image doesn't have this artifact as you see. Overlighted objects are observed as a constant (black).
We have developed these boards 3 years ago and use them every day in our system.
This time we have made 4th revision of this board that is almost similar to the previous one, having only some small changes in it that doesn't involve 3D sub-system. I don't understand why exactly this revision of board have these issues because it is pretty close to the 3rd revision. May be there are some problem with any bunch of other components. May be there was some issues while manufacturing these bunch of boards. We can not find the problem and make it clear.
There is only 2 remedy from this: reset all the registers in OPT9221 to devault or power reset.
Please, give me any advise or any help would be very appreciated.
We have sold our system with this devices as always but this bunch of boards have this problem.
