TMCS1108: Pin compatible devices with HMC1108

Part Number: TMCS1108
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMCS1101, , TMCS1107

Hello,

My customer is planning a PCB design with the TMCS1108A1BQDR.

They also want to check the operation of the TMCS1101A1BQDR and TMCS1107A1BQDR with this PCB.

They consider the TMCS1101 and TMCS1107 to be a device with higher specifications while being pin compatible with the TMCS1108.

Is it okay to use TMCS1101A1BQDR or TMCS1107A1BQDR on a PCB designed for TMCS1108A1BQDR?

Thank you.

  • JH,

Yes, if a design was initially made utilizing the TMCS1108, then both the TMCS1107 and TMCS1101 should be able to be used as potential alternates. Both of these devices are functionally equivalent to the TMCS1108, with upgraded working voltages and specifications. The main difference would be that to move to one of these as an alternate would increase the price of the socket as they would be purchasing a more tightly specified device.
