I am using TMP101 instead of TMP100 to increase availability, but I do not need the alert pin.

In this case, how should I handle the alert pin?

Dear Ryu -

As stated in datasheet in multiple places, this pin requires a pullup resistor.

Hi Ryu,

As Josh mentioned, a pull up resistor can be used on this pin.

Since it is an open drain output, it can only sink current, so it could also be grounded or left floating if it is unused.
