hello Ti,

part: TMCS1100A2 , VCC = 3.3V

we connected 1uF capacitor at output of TMCS1100 IC, the hall ic gets faulty after some time , it does not give output or start to give some voltage e.g. 2V while no current is flowing

what could be the issue, there is noise on analog output from hall ic due to smps switching , so we connected a RC on hall output near the adc

how this can be solved

i read somewhere on this forum that hall ic gets unstable due to capacitor on its output,

is it safe to connect 0.1uF or 10nF or 100pf capacitor with a series resistor 10K, will this not harm or damage hall ic in long run in the field

Hey hkul,

I responded on your other forum post here, but yes, this was what my questions were intending to check. The TMCS1100 has a maximum allowable capacitive load of 1nF. This can often be increased by isolating the capacitance from the output pin with a sufficient amount of resistance. 10kΩ would be more than sufficient in my opinion.
