TMP61: Need the temperature-resistor curve/table for customer evaluation

Part Number: TMP61

Hi team,

Since customer has not enough supply for TMP61Q1 so they would like to evaluate the TMP61 for replacement. Need your support:

Please confirm whether the temperature-resistor curves of the following two non-automotive level materials are exactly the same as the TMP61Q1? Please kindly provide the temperature & resistance distribution table of these two materials in Excel format for customer evaluation, thank you!
TMP6131DECT (non-vehicle regulations)
TMP6131DECR (non-car regulations)

  • Dear Zirui -

Thanks for the post - please utilize the TMP6-THERMISTOR-DESIGN tool to retrieve the tables you desire, you can choose any of the TMP6 family of parts from the first tab, when starting - would also highly recommend you don't use those tables, though and use the polynomial approach, instead - firmware example is in this tool for it, along with the other firmware examples that have been made to assist the developers.

  • Dear Zirui,

Yes the curves are the same for the TMP6131DECR and the TMP6131QDECRQ1. The curves are package specific.

As Josh pointed out the polynomials will provide faster and more accurate results than the lookup tables. If the customer is already using the tables then the non Q1 is a direct drop in replacement for the non Q1, except it is not auto qualified.
