Hi,

My customer need assistance.

I purchased IWR 1843 BOOST and DCA 1000 EVM from your company, I want to use these two devices for human motion recognition. Now the problem that puzzles me is how to collect point cloud data with these two devices? I want to collect point cloud data in the following format:

Hello,

Point cloud data cannot be collected using the DCA1000. May I ask what material/collateral you saw or used that led you to this decision?

My customer replied:

Hello, thank you very much for answering my question.I saw from the 'TI mmWave ROS Driver User's Guide - Version 2.2' that ROS supports iwr1843 point cloud visualization and saving point cloud data.

I installed the system and enabled it to run,Although I can make it work and display it,

However, the data I collected cannot display information such as intensity, range, bearing and doppler_bin.

I try to modify the source code to solve the range problem. However, other information cannot be displayed normally.I found on the Internet that the reason is that the SDK version used by iwr1843 is 3. X,however, the 2. X SDK does not support iwr1843 .So,how can I solve the problem of incorrect display of these information.I modified ti_ mmwave_ Rospkg source code. I think I need professional technical support to solve this problem.

I don't know why the two pictures cannot be shown. But I succeed to zoom in to check them.

Chong,

You are correct in that SDK 2.X does not support IWR1843. Why do you need the doppler bin, bearing, and intensity? Is this important in your application? You can also calculate these values using basic geometry and math if they are essential to your application.
