IWR1642: Inquiry

Hi Experts,

May I ask for help? Our customer have a concern as shown below:

"It seems that the firmware library of iwr1642 has been upgraded by default because of CCS. Now I can't download the program
only the red,not yellow
The computer cannot detect the serial port
I think the firmware library may have been erased
CS0757643.zip

I hope you can help us. Thank you.

    If the firmware update happened automatically due to CCS, then it was NOT a firmware update for the IWR1642, rather it was an update for the debugger on the board (XDS110/T4MC). It is likely something corrupted the update process (such as unplugging the device) and the customer will need to follow steps to recover the XDS110. I do not have much insight into the recovery options for this device, but I believe there is a method to perform a manual update of the XDS110 firmware that may be able to recover its functionality.

    I am sorry but I reaceived a response from our customer as shown below:

    "It seems not because of this, because it can be used again in the middle of a period of time. The current state is good and bad. After connecting the power supply, it can be used when NRST is on. If it is not on, it can not be used. It is mostly not on. It can be used when it is on occasionally"

    By "not working" do they mean that it does not show up under device manager? More detail is needed on what the issue is. If they are not seeing it in device manager, then I would still be led to believe that it is an issue with the xds110.

    Customer said: Yes, the serial port cannot be detected, and the NRST light is not on. Only the power light is on. Some time ago, the NRST light was on occasionally, and the serial port will be detected. In the last two days, the NRST light is not on, and only the power light is on
