Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP112
Hi team,
Could you tell how TMP102 work when ADD0 pin is open?
Could you also tell it in case of TMP112? They want to confirm both TMP102 and TMP112 when ADD0 pin is open.

Noriyuki Takahashi

Josh,
They make ADD0pin open by mistake. That's why they ask us how TMP102 work when ADD0 pin is open.
Could you give any comments on this?

Noriyuki Takahashi
Dear Noriyuki -
Neither the TMP102 nor the TMP112 allows the ADD0 pin to be open or floated - this pin must be connected to a potential (V+, GND), in either device, and may also be connected to either SCL or SDA when using the TMP112.
Hi Noriyuki,
The address pin is meant to be connected. If it is not connected, the device behavior is undefined. It will choose an address, but we don't know which one. It may also change address during operation.
thanks,
