TMCS1107-Q1: TMCS1107A2B-Q1 variant capacitor from pin6 to GND

Part Number: TMCS1107-Q1

Hi team,

1) Even though the data sheet states that it is OK to connect capacitor from pin6 to GND, no allowable range was given for this cap. What is the acceptable cap range that can be connected to pin6?

2) The bandwidth is stated as 80kHz. Does connecting capacitor from pin6 to GND alter the overall bandwidth?

Thanks,

Jacob

  • Hello Jacob,

    1) Any capacitance is fine on that node.  The reason it is recommended to connected to GND is for transients and this would eliminate that.  A large capacitor would also remove transients on that node.

2)A capacitor on pin 6 will not change the bandwidth or reduce noise.
