PGA460: Development software ?

Part Number: PGA460

Hi All

I am thinking about using the PGA460 for an upcoming project.

Is there any software or development tool, where I can connect the PGA460 via a USB to UART cable device to PC to configure the device and also observe the output feedback?

  • Hello Dharmesh,

    Thank you for your question.

We have the PGA460-BOOSTXL EVM, which enables users to interface a PGA460 device with a computer for data analysis and device configuration.

This EVM is available at the following link: BOOSTXL-PGA460

Additionally, we have a series of training videos that cover how to setup and use the EVM here: PGA460 EVM Training

The EVM software is very easy to use, and enables rapid evaluation of various hardware and software configurations for the PGA460.

Please let me know if you have any questions on the EVM or the PGA460 device.

    Thank you,

    Jacob

  • Dear Jacob

    Thank YOu for your reply.

We are using the following kit Dev Kit

Is it possible the eva software can work with this board?

  • Hello again,

It may be possible to interface with the board using a MSP430F5529 and the EVM software, but I have never attempted this on a non-TI board before. TI does publish EVM schematics, so you could in theory use these as a reference to create similar connections on your dev kit.

The EVM schematic can be found here: PGA460 EVM User's Guide

Please let me know if you have any questions,

    Regards,

    Jacob
