Devices like the LM93, LM96000, LM96194 have support for up to four fans, all have I2C.

Dear Wei - Ting -

Section 4.3 of the datasheet for the LM96000 (page 15) details that the Fan Tachometer Reading registers contain the number of 11.111 µs periods (90 kHz) between full fan revolutions and the fact that there are accuracy bits (the two LSbits of each Tach register) for confidence.
