TDC7200: Which chip is recommended to measure ns-level square wave signals

Part Number: TDC7200

Hi, I want to measure the duty cycle of a periodic square wave at the ns level.

TDC7200 is more troublesome to use, I would like to ask if there are alternative products

thanks!

  • Hello Jianhui,

The TDC7200 is often the best single chip solution TI offers for ps range resolution.

Alternative solutions will require the use of microcontroller based timers, however they usually do not meet the timing accuracy capable in the TDC720x family devices.

Is there any reason why the TDC7200 is not suitable for use in your application?

The TDC7200-EVM may assist you with evaluation if you find the development challenging. This EVM also has published design files and example software to allow for rapid system integration.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you,

    Jacob
