AWR1642: to measure best accuracy possible distance outdoors using mmWAVE radar.

Part Number: AWR1642

Actually we are developing a system to measure the distances outdoors accurately(as accurate as possible), the target is stationary and since it is outside it might be covered with layer of snow/dirt/mud. after reading the forum/datasheet it appears that it is possible. So to be specific please guide/ advise on following :-

  • Which sensor to use( frequency 60 or 77 Ghz); asking because it has to be used outside and target may get a layer of snow/ dust/mud etc.
  • we want as small form factor as possible.(AoP we think will work).
  • we want all the processing to be done on the chip itself no post processing on computer etc.
  • Does the radar removes clutter all by itself or we have to ? if we have to do then how to arrive at threshold value as our target is almost stationary.

Thanks,

Regards,
