IWR6843: Antenna design issue

Part Number: IWR6843

IWR6843 on board antenna, as the eva-board has notch for RX ,TX, I followed its design, however, my PCB manufacturer could not assure the minmum gap 3.6mils, they only can achieve 4.2mils, can I increase the gap of Tx and Rx, or fill the node, somdbody can help repsonse me? thanks

Firstly, Thanks for your reply.

I found some version design file has the notches, but acutlly board did not exsit the gap, pictures show as below:

By the way, May I know why TI sletected different material for Long range antenna and short range antenna,

Short range antenna they choosed RO303, Long range antenna choosed RO4835,

What's the difference, why don't use same mateial ?

Hi Pan,

RO3003 is more expensive than RO4835 LoPro. However RO3003 is better in terms of RF performance compared to RO4835 LoPro.
