OPT8320: How to measure phase offset and What are the usual expected phase offsets measured.

Part Number: OPT8320

We are working with OPT8320 TOF sensors and are able to generate Video feed of amplitude and phase data. But while decoding phase data using formulae in datasheet and system design guides to calculate depth data, we are not able get depth data anywhere near the physical distance from Sensor to object. So we have a few questions to start with.

1) When distance is about 0.5 meters, we get a measurement of approximately 1.8meters. Are we expecting this kind of large offsets, greater than actual distance to the object? If not what would be a realistic range to expect from the sensor.

2) How do we compute offset value from actual data received from the sensor, that which can be programmed back to the sensor to give correct depth data for the entire frame?

Any information on these would be greatly helpful.
