TMP108: Input voltage and SMBus pullup voltage

Part Number: TMP108

Dear Experts,

#1. I would like to confirm there is no function problem in following situation. (I think it is a very basic question)

1. V+ = 1.8V

2. SDA/SCL pulled up to 3.3V through pullup resistors.

According to SPEC, SDA and SCL can be pulled up to a supply is higher than V+ through the pullup resistors.

In addition, the absolute maximum rating of SDA and SCL is 4V. (Meaning 3.3V tolerant)

#2. In my understanding, "VIH(max) = V+" this means that the upper bound of the threshold is set to V+, which means that V+ is not the upper bound of the input voltage. Is it correct?

I would appreciate it if you could reply.

Regards,
