Hi,

I'm working with a custom radar and I'm using the code of the MRR lab and I would like to compensate the radiation diagram of our antenna. In this context, I saw the function rxGainPhaseParam_Init but I don't understand if this compensation has an effect in the radiation diagram. Could you explain if this function does a compensation on the radiation diagram and if it is not, how can I compensate the radiation diagram on the code?

No, the rxGainPhase will not impact the radiated wave.

What do you mean by"compensate radiation diagram of our antenna" ?

Hi,

The gain of the antenna decays as the azimuth or elevation angle increases, which we think it can affect angular detection of obstacles at high angle of arrival positions. In concrete, the position of the peak detected might look displaced due to the non-uniform gain of the antennas. Does this make sense? We expected some sort of calibration or compensation to correct this effect. Is there anything like that in the code?

Thank you for the additional information.

This code does not include this type of compensation. Actually, we don't have any demo that includes this type of compensation. Usually the antenna is designed to meet certain specification in rx/tx gain.
