I have a custom board using HDC2010 Humidity and Temperatura sensor. All works well, but when I put a drop of potable water over the sensor it's stopping to work. It's dead and doesn't work anymore.
This kind of sensor doesn't support direct contact with water? I think it's very fragile consider that it need to measure humidity.
To replace it I'm considering to use HDC2022 with PTFE membrane and apply some kind of resin around the pins to get a more robust design, considering direct water or condensation, but I can't find HDC2022 to buy anywhere.
What TI suggest? I need measure negative temperatures at refrigerated truck and is common to clean inside the truck refrigerator with pressure water and HDC2010 with just a little drop of water over it is getting damage.
