Yes, all TMP117 devices will have a unique ID. The unique ID is located in all of the general-purpose EEPROM locations and is used for NIST traceability.

The customer will be able to read the ID numbers via I2C.
The unique ID allows TI to link a device to its individual production test record, however this record is not available to the public/customers. Therefore, the customer can obtain the ID numbers through I2C, but we cannot provide information on what the ID numbers mean.
