Can PIN5 be directly grounded? Or do I need to connect the terminal of the bypass capacitor first, and then connect to ground as shown in the SPEC? Are there any requirements for this part?

Hi Jason,
The picture you attached is a suggestion. Pin 5 is GND and must be electrically connected to system GND. The layout does not need to match. Bypass capacitors are always recommended for every IC's supply pins.
