AWR1642BOOST: AWR1642BOOST: error occured while running the binary (CLI is operational)

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Hey all,

I was working on the Automotive radar Multi-Gesture demo lab.

I have followed the "AWR16xx Multi Gesture Demo user guide" and I encountered an error in the 5.2 (Loading the binary) from the user guide.

Should I wait for the “CLI is operational” after I run the (mss_main.c) or no? If I must wait how long will it take to show the message in the console window?

My error is shown in the console window.

Kindly help me figure out the error and many thanks in advance.

Thank you,

Vishal

  • Hi,

I recommend first to flash the demo binaries and run the demo without CCS, using a serial terminal.

I have flashed the prebuilt binaries provided with the lab and I was able to see the gestures on the serial terminal.

Please try to do the same. The configuration settings of the serial terminal are provided in the demo user guide

    thank you

    Cesar

  • so have you followed all the instructions as in the demo guide?

I didn't understand from where should I follow up from the user guide?

Should I follow till (5.3 Running the binary) from the user guide and then what instructions must I follow from? Could you elloborate more as I'm not understanding to resolve the same.

    Thanks,

    Vishal

  • Hi,

You should follow section 4.2 and 4.3

Then you should follow section 5.4:

User needs to connect a serial terminal to one of the UART COM port (Auxiliary Data Port) at 921600 baud rate to get the Gesture result printed on the screen.
•Here we demonstrate this demo with TeraTerm.
•This demo supports total six gesture so you will see a string for each type of gestures.
–Background : if no valid gesture.

    Thank you

    Cesar
