LDC3114: SNOA962 EMI Reduction Techniques

Part Number: LDC3114
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC0851, LDC2114

Hi team,

Looking at the SNOA962 application note, which reduction techniques would be applicable to the LDC3114?

I'd expect that the shielding and supply/return would be, but am not sure regarding the passive filters since the LDC3114 coils are capacitively coupled from COM to GND similar to the LDC0851.

Thanks,

Jacob

  • Hello Jacob,

In regards to SNOA962, you can apply the same recommendations of the LDC2114 to the LDC3114. All three techniques can be used with this device. However, while you can implement the passive filters on these devices, the dedicated COM pin and keeping the capacitor closer to the device mitigates EMI and there is less need to have a dedicated filter.
