Hi, TI team,

Recently I'm highly interested in in-cabin occupancy and presence detection, but it seems that the AWR6843AoP-EVM in out-of-stock now on your website, are there any ways to purchase this kit?

And I was confused while I review the occupancy and vital signs detection user guide and following this discussion:

If I want to run the released demo gui in automotive toolbox 3.6: "occupancy_plus_vital_signs", should I must have to purchase "AWR6843AoP-EVM" and the "MMWAVEICBOOST" at the same time? or just the EVM kit stand alone is still feasible?

And further, I should own all these three AWR6843AoP-EVM, MMWAVEICBOOST, and DCA1000 to capture the ADC RAW data, am I right?

As of this reply, it looks like the AWR6843AOPEVM is currently in stock on ti.com: https://www.ti.com/tool/AWR6843AOPEVM#order-start-development

- As the user guide states, only the standalone EVM is needed. However, this lab does not currently support the AoP variant of the AWR6843. You will need to purchase one of the EVMs specified in the Hardware Requirements section of the User Guide.

- Correct. To capture ADC raw data, you will need a TI mmWave EVM, MMWAVEICBOOST carrier card, and DCA1000 raw data capture card.

The AWR6843AOPEVM is indeed in stock now, thanks a lot.
The "overhead vehicle occupancy detection" of automotive toolbox 3.6 support the AWR6843 AOP-EVM right?

(And I found there is a demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wStat52geSQ&ab_channel=TexasInstruments , this also use same kit and overhead VOD toolbox right?)

Shihyu,

Overhead Mount Vehicle Occupancy Detection, which is different than the occupancy_plus_vital_signs demo you mentioned in your original post does support the AWR6843AOP. This is the demo that is showcased in the video you have linked.

And I wanna know why the MMWAVEICBOOST board should be used and connected together with AWR6843AoP-EVM while running this Overhead VOD toolbox? Since for others toolbox, single EVM could be used stand-alone.

Shihyu,

As the user's guide mentions:

You do not necessarily need the MMWAVEICBOOST board to run the Overhead Mount Vehicle Occupancy Detection lab. You only need it if you plan on doing CCS based debugging and development.
