Dear Yuktheshwar -

1. The use of the general call reset is to reset all the devices on an I2C bus that support this command.

2. The usage with the TMP112 is reset the part.

3. As mentioned in the datasheet (you found the section in the datasheet) the I2C command would be formed as: 0x00 0x06 (or 0000 0000 0000 0110)
