AWR6843AOP: Running the Obstacle Detection AOP Lab on top of 6843AOP

Part Number: AWR6843AOP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1843AOP

Hi Champs

There's a request that Customer need to develop car door sensing application.

They would like to customize  the obstacle detection AOP lab along with AWR6843AOP instead of 1843AOP.

Could you please support to bring AWR6843AOP up to run the Obtacle Detection AOP lab?

Based on the comment from the original thread below.

3. The Obstacle Detection AOP lab is based on the AWR1843AOP, where should I modify it to work with the AWR6843AOP?

Most of the signal processing will be the same except for the chirp profile and the demo porting needed on 6843AOP device.

We would like to know how to modify the chirp profile needed on 6843AOP device. Please help this as it will be very helpful to transfer the original lab to a new device.

I would like to have a detailed explanation and an example as much as possible.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Jack

  • Hi,

As you mentioned, the chirp configuration must be modified from 77 to 60Ghz

Since the 6843AOP antenna virtual array is not the same as the AWR1843AOP, the target code must also be modified

Please see definition of virtual arrays in

    Thank you
