DRV5056: Sheet Protected -- Contact Distance Measurement Tool

Part Number: DRV5056

Hi, I am getting this error saying the sheet is password protected. Anyone knows how to resolve this? Thanks!

  • Hello Andy,

Thanks for posting to the sensors forum! Yes, this happens because you need to enable the macros within Excel when you first open up the document. When you open the tool please be sure to click the enable content button at the top of the page. I went ahead and included a picture of that message below:

Once that has been enabled you are free to start filling out the form. If you already began filling out the info you will need to close the file reopen and enable content before starting to import your information. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

    Best,

    Isaac

  • Hello Issac,

Thank you for your help! I did enable the macro once opened the file. The General Implementation part was always ok, but once I get to the second block I am getting that error above. Also, the below error occurs to me when I edited the general implementation.

    Thank you!

    Andy

  • Hello Andy,

Thanks for the response, were you only able to fill out the first cell when you got the error or were you able to complete the whole first block when you encountered the error?

Can you provide me with the version of excel as well as the version of windows that you are using?

We are looking into this, we have not encountered this error before so I am not sure if it is related to a version of the software you are using.

    Best,

    Isaac

  • Hello Isaac, the compile error happens at the first cell I input. My excel is MS 365 Apps for enterprise and my windows is Windows 10 enterprise 21H2. Thanks!

  • Hey Andy,

Do you have access to the desktop version of Excel? It is possible that it might not be compatible with the MS 365 App we are still yet to try this out to confirm.

    Best,

    Isaac

  • I might be wrong, but I think it is the desktop version.

  • If I understand correctly, MS 365 is a cloud based application (which I think could be the source of the problem), I have only used it on a browser before but you are saying there is also there is a desktop version of the app?

    Best,

    Isaac

  • Yes I am running it through the desktop app.

  • Hey Andy,

Thanks for the info and the patience. It seems like the compiler for the MS 365 is slightly different than the normal downloadable version of the software. We have patched the issues and this should work fine with your version now. I included the version that should work below, and the web one should be update in the next couple of days but for now please use this version.

Let me know if you are still encountering some problems!
