IWR1443: INIT_Caliblation Data

Part Number: IWR1443

I have a question about INIT Caribration data. I am using it in the configuration of 1TX-1RX, but there was no problem even if I turned off all the Calibration items (LO Dist, Rx ADC DC, HPF cutoff, ... Rx IQMM) that can be selected in mmWave Studio.
Is Calibration of the above items unnecessary for the 1TX-1RX configuration? Also, please tell me the document to find out the meaning of the data described in the "CalibData.txt" file.

Ushikubo

  • Hi,

For more detailed information on calibration, I would recommend that you take a look at the following appnote: https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spracf4

In general, calibration is meant to keep data accurate over time as environmental conditions change (such as temperature). It is possible that you are not seeing issues related to calibration in your current test environment, but that they may impact the performance of the device in a real-world scenario.

    Best Regards,
    Alec

  • Hi,Alec

Thank you for your reply. Is there any more detailed material to understand the meaning of the characters in the following Calib_Data file?
