Describe the usage scenario.

The detected object is mixed with other goods, such as a piece of metal on a conveyor belt mixed with wheat or gravel. Metal objects may be buried in other goods.

In general, the sensor is mounted in the middle of the rubber conveyor belt and its metal bracket.

In other words, there are rubber conveyor belts, food or gravel between the sensor and the detected metal blocks.

The purpose of detection is also simple, only need to judge if there is one, to improve the anti-jamming ability.

It should be a relatively simple and low-cost solution requirement.

Whether this requirement can be fulfilled using LDC3114 or, if not, whether there are other products or solutions that can fulfill this requirement.

The millimeter-wave scheme was previously recommended, which is not very suitable for us.

On the conveyor belt running at 3m/s, check if there are any metal objects, the target object is mainly made of iron.

The length, width and height of the detected object are about 5cm, the conveyor belt is about one meter wide, and the goods are about 0.1-0.5m away from the sensor coil.

There are no too many restrictions on the size of the coil, generally about 1 meter by 0.4 meters.

The environmental disturbance factors are the frequency converter driven motor, intercom, outdoor environment high or low temperature, humidity, etc.

The detection target is whether or not a metal object exists.

Would it be possible to divide your one coil into an array of smaller coils?
If you can do this, then we might be able to make the individual coils small enough to work with an LDC3114.
The disadvantage of this approach is that you will need to use more LDC3114s, and your MCU will have to manage and interface with them.

The sensor coil is between 100 mm and 500 mm away from the target

The transmission bandwidth needed to be detected is 1000mm.

In this case, is LDC3114 available, 1000mm detection width, and how many coils or chips do you need?
