AWR2243BOOST: Replacing PMIC using simple generic parts

Part Number: AWR2243BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA2

Hi Team,

A customer is planning to replace the two LP87524P PMIC on the Cascade EVM board using a simple PMIC chip that can provide all the required DC voltages but without an I2C interface.

Doing this, the PMIC won't have communication with the TDA2 in the DSP EVM

Will this work fine?

Regards,

Marvin

  • Hi,

Power management topology needs to be very cautiously designed, hence work fine may change accordingly. Please ensure that the PMIC chip to be used has all specs(ripple, transient, default voltage levels or output rails, voltage monitoring, etc) being met as expected by TI RADAR device.

    Regards
