Prasad,
A few questions:
As an experiment, does the error message you saw still appear if you export the CAD file for a different tool, like Cadence?
What inputs did you use for the design?
Regards,
John
Same problem.
Tried to export to all different tools.
Tried with different settings, even the defaults.
No results.
Francesco,
I got similar results and will file a ticket with our IT support team.
Unfortunately this probably won't be resolved quickly.
In the mean-time, please consider using our Excel-based tool for designing coil sensors.
You can download it from here.
The tool supports the design of a spiral or racetrack coil on the tab named Spiral_Inductor_Designer,
It will also provide some guidance on device settings and behavior in the worksheets dedicated to each of our LDC devices.
Unfortunately the tool does not provide a CAD file of the design.
There is a blog that gives guidance on the using the Excel-based tool.
There are also inductive sensing blogs and an E2E Inductive Sensing FAQ page that provide useful info as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Someone on our team will update this thread with a status on the web tool once it is available.
regards,
John
Hi John,
Error message appears for all the export options,
Here is the link for design
Francesco,
I experienced the same error, no matter which export option was used.
A ticket will be filed for this error, but I can't promise when it will be fixed.
This thread will be updated when the IT team provides a status.
In the mean-time, please use the Excel-based tool mentioned in my last reply.
Regards,
John
Ok, thanks.
I'm trying to make a coil manually in Altium.
Another question about the webench.
I noticed that the 1101 is missing in the part list. But there are two 1000. 1000 and 1000-Q1. Which one I should choose for the 1101?
Francesco,
The differences between the two LDC1000s is that LDC1000-Q1 is qualified for automotive applications.
In all other respects, they are the same parts.
If you want to use the LDC1101 in your design, please consider using the Excel-based Inductive Sensing Design Calculator Tool.
It can support a coil design for the LDC1101, and another tab will help pick the best device settings.
Regards,
John
