HDC3021: Asking for HDC3021 top side wrap

Part Number: HDC3021

Hi Team,

Customer would like to design HDC3021.


there is wrap on the HDC3021 top side. What is the function of this wrap?

Can customer keep it without removing the wrap?

    Dear SHH - 
    Thanks for the post - what you see there on the HDC3021 is a removable protective tape/film cover. This removable protective tape is in place / intended to allow for conformal coatings and PCB wash cycle. After they are done soldering and cleaning that board, they can remove the cover for operation/service lifetime. You can also refer to section 8.3.1 (page 12 of the datasheet) as well, for further info and instructions for removal.
