DRV5053: Design help for magnet on linear hall sensor

Hi Experts,

Seeking your assistance on this query:

My company is interested in using your sensors (about 10 thousand pieces per year for the first year) in the body of a new family of electrical products, to transmit the information proportional to their lives to the users.

Below is the sketch of our need (Ymin...YMAX = about 6.25 mm ... 12.75 mm; maximum magnet diameter=7.5mm).

We have identified the product DRV5053 with SOT23 case, I also downloaded your magnetic sensing proximity tool but the excel file isn't working properly; for this reason i am asking your support to identify the most suitable magnet for our specific case.

Hello Archie,

Thanks for reaching out on the forum. I am looking into your request now. Does your company have any preference on magnet supplier? Are you able to get a custom magnet or are you looking for an existing off the shelf magnet? Also could you tell me what issues you had with the tool? We are constantly looking at improving it and removing bugs.

Hey Archie,

Based off the information provided. Here is one possible solution. Use DRV5053CAQDBZ with this magnet. Assuming the magnet is centered on the stem according to specs shown in figure 1, I get the following curves in figure 2.

Thank you for all the useful informations. Apology foer the delayed response as Cx just updated:

We are looking for an existing off-the shelf magnet but in case that wouldn't be possible we are available to work on a custom magnet and possibly we are looking for a supplier in the European area (if it's located in Italy it would be even better).
I had a look at the recommended magnet and will proceed to get some samples to do some testing (if you have any reccomendation about an european supplier for the same magnet, please let me know).
About the issues with your tool I'll send you some screenshots of my view, I don't know if I'm missing some files to download or if there is a bug somewhere.

I am not too familiar with european magnet suppliers, but I did find these sites below. If you cannot find a matching or nearly similar magnet regarding grade and dimensions on these sites, please let me know and I will see if I can find reasonable alternative.
