DRV425: 3D orthogonal arrangement ?

If I place 3 of these orthogonal to each other and very close (package/PCB spacing), will they interfere with each other ? Will I be able to determine magnetic flux in 3D ?

    There will be some minor changes from them depending on there proximity but not much.  I would say in lower than there offset of µT.  I think other component on the board may impact the more if they are magnetic material as they are normally larger than the internal sensing element inside the DRV425.  What is the magnitude that you are attempting to measure?  I assume 3D magnetic fields but are you just looking at earth's field or something larger or smaller than that.  Be aware that anything on your board can hold a small field if they are ever exposed to a magnetic field.  I have magnetized some component for example on our EVM and get a small field change of about 4µT.  As long as a large field is not applied the fields from these component do not normally change.  

  • Thanks -- it's for Earth's field and possibly solar storms. Therefor there's no need to place them extremely close. I am aware of the need to keep other magnetic materials away.
