TMAG5231: Can TMAG523 OUT pin directly drive BQ25181 TS/MR or must mosfet be used

I'm designing a prototype that uses a TI BQ25181 PMIC and wanted to know if it would be possibly to use this part, TMAG523xxx on the TS/MR input (pin 6) to simulate a pushbutton input or if a MOSFET should be used as the output of the TMAG is an active signal.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

HI Wade,

With the TMAG5231's output being either the Vcc or GND, I'd recommend using a FET that would pull the TS/MR pin to GND and controlled by the OUT pin of the TMAG5231. Connecting the OUT pin of the TMAG523 directly would put the BQ25181 out of a normal temperature range as part of the device's TS functionality.
