Hi Darshan,

Did you double check the rest of your settings were correct with the other guides? There may have been more incorrect with your configuration than just the SW 1.4. 

It would be helpful if you sent a picture of your setup so we can visually verify that everything is in the correct place.

I rechecked all configuration, dip switch connections. But still not solve problem. I attached photos of my connections

I also tried tida-010022 (communication between cc1352 and mmwave ic boost).

I am appreciating for give attention on my query.
I can help you for easily setup.

1) mmWaveICBOOST setup 
    set dip pin as follow.;

SOP2 short/jumper added for flashing firmware 

SOP2 remove jumper for run mode.

2) IWR6843AOPEVM setup

  SW1.1 ON
  SW1.2 ON
  SW1.3 ON
  SW1.4 OFF

  SW2.1 OFF
  SW2.2 ON
  SW2.3 ON
  SW2.4 OFF

And try on flash firmware using uniflash software. This setup work for me.

But I got next step issue.

If i upload other project(3d people count demo) I can pass cli command from mmWaveicBoost. Also get response. But when I upload TIDA-010022 pre-binary file. not getting any response/write on USB-TTL port(115200/921600). I also try on the XDS pin of mmWaveICBOOST but still not working.

What is the require to change in my setup for proper working?

Hi Darshan,

I'm a little confused with what you are trying to accomplish. It sounds like when you upload 3D people counting it is working correctly? Why are you trying to use the TIDA-010022 binary file?

Also, if you just want to use the binary files, there is no need for the ICBOOST. You should only use the ICBOOST if you want to debug using CCS. Can you try simply flashing the AOP device by itself without the ICBOOST and see if you are getting data over the COM port?

Hi Tim,

I want to control mmwave aop hardware using external mcu. And Tida-010022 do same thing. In Tida-010022. One collector cc1352 send cli command to sensor cc1352 and sensor cc1352 connect with icboost on uart protocol. In my case i send command direct icboost using usb-ttl.

Hi Darshan,

UART communication is already setup through most of our labs binaries, including people counting. There is the Config COM port and the data COM port for 6843. If you have the device connected to your computer via USB, you can send config commands over the Config port, and see data streaming in through the data port. Since it's already in use in the people counting lab, I would suggest using that binary.

Try and open up the two ports in a program like PuTTy or TeraTerm and you can see how sending/receiving data works. You should not need the ICBOOST for this.

From there you would just need to make the UART connections to your micorcontroller.

Hi Tim,

I don't want to use usb port of aop. I want to control sensor using external mcu with help of UART protocol.

For external uart are connected on J5 connector. In Tida -010022 binary file, already setup done. That's why i am testing with this file.
And J5 connector on UART port on IC BOOST.

For ref. 
I want to this type of sample. But I want to send command form USB-ttl.

Yes, It working, And I already tested multiple project.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. You would still be able to send commands with the people counting binary over the J5 connector. Since I am unfamiliar with the Tida-010022 binary, this is why I suggested that.

No, I am not able send command on J5 connector. 

In Tida firmware J5 configuration setup already installed that's why i am using this Tida.

IWR6843AOPEVM is working with mmWaveICBOOST using XDS110 port of mmWaveICBOOST.

IWR6843AOPEVM is working without mmWaveICBOOST using uart port of evm.

But with J5 connector is not working.
