DCA1000EVM: mmWave Studio Bandwidth Calculation

Hi Team,

In mmWave Studio V2.1.1 , "bandwidth value" calculated in profile configuration tab and calculated parameter tabs were different.

Could you please explain about the reason for different bandwidth.

HI, Balaji:

The total bandwidth is calculated as slope * total ramp time. The effective bandwidth however is slope * adcSampleTime. Because the total ramp time also includes some overhead like ADC start time and extra ramp time. Please go through our app notes http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra553a/swra553a.pdf to understand the relationship between chirp parameters.
